Over the last several years, computers have worked their way out of the office and into just about every aspect of our daily lives. Home computers are no longer boring beige boxes destined for a boring existence revolving around e-mails and personal finances. They can also be the key to our personal entertainment that allows us to immerse ourselves in games, music, movies, and television (TV).
This Tech Tip will focus on the television portion of the list above, and will take a look at five ways in which just about anyone can enjoy watching television on their computer monitor.

  7. I use to be able to watch downloaded movies on my
    computer but one day while cleaning my computer
    I accidently deleted something from my add/remove
    program. I know that its not windows media player. Do you have any idea what it might be.

    all of the channels are available to watch easily through windows media player

  17. Nice article and great information on how and where to watch tv online. There are are so many ways to watch tv on your computer now days. Its just hard to find live sports channels. Many online tv softwares offer sports, but it’s not live. I use podcast to was the Steeler games during the football season. The only problem with podcast is sometimes the channel pauses.

  19. I have a broadband internet network and the supplier has also provided a broadband TV box with A/V output made for Television. But I don’t have a television and i want to watch tv in my monitor. So, i bought a VGA cable with teh other end having a A/V input, whic i connected with the TV box, but it didnt work. Help me out !!!

    live in will not allowed me to have satelite

I have a question...I watch tv shows and movies on my computer.  I would like to know the name of the device that I can use to get the shows I’m watching on the computer monitor hooked up so I can watch them through my big screen tv.  Don’t care about the HD, I can watch television with HD or without.
