  3. Basically, god mode creates a folder which contains all the various search results strings (if that makes any sense) that pop up when you search using the search field in the Control Panel. These strings are used to make it more “natural” to search for settings in Windows (try it).

    Enabling god mode is quite easy:

    Create a new folder
    Name it: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
    That’s it

    This creates a folder which more or less gives you categorised access to each and every setting in Windows - at least, each and every setting that is accessible as a search string - 265 settings in 50 sections. This could be handy if you’re setting up a machine for the first time and need to access many settings.

  7. I think Windows 7 is actually the best OS that Microsoft has come out with.  They finally figured out how to make it more user friendly and functional without sacrificing all your resources like Vista did.

    I love the new features of Windows 7, it has made my tasks a lot easier.  Of course, I think it should have been released as a Service Pack upgrade for Vista instead of an entirely new OS, but then MS would not have made more money off of it, LOL.

    Cheers!

  11. Well, I installed 7 today and it’s been smooth and easy. I like it, but then I really never had a problem with Vista. It never crashed, everything ran fine. In 3 years I never had to re-install it. I’ve never really experienced anything that helped me to understand all the eye rolling that would commence anytime the name Vista came up. I have OS X (Snow Leopard) running on the same desk, and I think it’s great. Its smooth, stable, pretty. They both are. I don’t see a difference. I really don’t. I’m just glad we’ve arrived at a point where we have several really fine options. My primary hope for Windows 7 is that it will end the eye rolling I have to endure from people who use their computers primarily for Facebook and porn.

  17. Windows 7 seems to be relatively a great operation system. The question is how easy it is to uncover all of its features?
