Going Virtual with VirtualBox
For whatever reason, many computer users think that their desktop computers can only run one operating system at a time. Windows PC only run Windows. Macs only run Mac OS. Linux machines only run Linux. But that’s far from the truth.

This article came in at the right time. I am going to build a pc and wanted to have dual operating systems and was not sure how to do it.
Thanks this was a big help.Great Tech Tip !
Is there any way to utilize an already installed windows XP partition that is used for dual boot to be the guest on a Linux, Debian host, using VirtualBox?
Or does it need to be a fresh install of guest windows?
I have a quad boot dual core amd laptop. I do believe you have to format the partitions correctly so boot loaders can recognise them. I have set up the partitions as three 1 vista home premium NTFS two XP NTFS and three vista ultimate NTFS the fourth I leave un-allocated for ubuntu as the setup will allow the partitioning for root home and share.
Note create the NTSF partitions first then install Vista then vista 2 then xp and last ubuntu.
Ubuntu will show the first then longhorn boot loader will display the other three after clicking on it. ENJOY!This is truly a great read for me!! I love the quality information and news your blog provides
I have you bookmarked to show this to my brother!
