I have a BlackBerry curve 8330, and I just discovered the BlackBerry Apps store. I absolutely love the ease of access and the apps variety. I do recommend PANDORA for Blackberry. Make sure your data plan is unlimited, tho! Best thing about it, you can hook it up to any stereo and it sounds great with some tweaking from the blackberry media app.
I also recommend the voice recognition software vlingo. It uses one of your convenience keys to poperate on any screen of your phone. You can send sms, emails, call people, tasks, to do and even dictate facebook status changes (and more!). It has US and UK english recognition and is free.
Enjoy!
My favorite Blackberry app is Pocket Express which features news, sports, weather, stocks, showtimes & entertainment, 411 search, travel, maps and assistance. Some features come at a cost but many don’t.
it’s unfortunae that the BlackBerry shown (the Storm) doesn’t properly work with Opera Mini.
After reading about the Opera Mini browser I decided to give is a try on my Blackberry Storm. When I went to the download page, my device wasn’t listed. The alphabetical listing also doesn’t show the Storm. How do I resolve this?
MikeGreat article. The one biggee you left out is the e-mail viewer.
RIM’s offering is alot like a low-tech program.
BBSmart has the best (it seems) but it costs sooo much.Hey, I chewed on this article for a week or so. I followed every suggestion.
I grew in understanding by leaps. Which has led me to a quest, I must have auto-fill on my Blackberry. It is such a drag to toggle back & forth, usually getting kicked off the page for time-out. Does anyone there know of such an application?great article, very useful for a new user
