Picasa Made Easy
Digital cameras are wonderful devices. They’re portable, relatively inexpensive, and fairly easy to use. They let you capture that special moment at a family gathering or that sight that astonishes you while on vacation. And unlike traditional cameras, you don’t have to worry about wasting film on a bad shot; you can take as many pictures as you need (within reason) to get the photo that you want.
Invariably, though, there’s always a flaw or two in that special photo. It could be red eye, the lighting isn’t quite bright or warm enough, or the photo might be slightly off kilter. Getting rid of those flaws is well within the reach of the casual photographer. That’s where decent photo editing software comes in handy. For the casual photographer, though, software like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or The GIMP is overkill—they have far more features than many of us will ever use.

Very good explanation of Picasa.
Thanks
Wanted to add that the “Originals” folder is a hidden folder but also alot of people don’t know that you don’t have to unhide the folders to access them. Now a days, Windows has the address bar hidden by default but if you have it, or want to - View>Toolbars>Address Bar, “My Pictures” will be something like “C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents\My Pictures” and if you simply added the folder after that, in this case “\Originals”, in will open the folder.
Also, the blog title is spelled wrong.April did you try looking up Picasa online? they would know for sure, They just might have it. Its a free download. Pat
Thank you Pat,
an obvious and good idea.
I did Google the question, Picasa for Mac?
Aparently there is a version for Mac slated to come out this year! Good news.April,
I would use iPhoto, it has all the same features that are explained here and more. Google does offer a Picasa exporter plugin that allows you to batch out to Picasa web albums. It’s all very easy and fun like a Mac user expects.Picasa is such a great tool! I found some really cool (and free) web templates that work with Picasa. The templates make it super easy to generate neat photo galleries. I posted a demo of the three templates on my blog:
