Print Your Snaps With PictBridge

First, let me say that I think PictBridge is a great idea, as it will hopefully make color matching between different devices and software much easier. I was excited to read about the interpolability of PictBridge in your article.
At the same time I think it is important to remember that there is much satisfaction in “spend[ing] hours “photo shopping” images and waiting patiently by [the] printer to see how it comes out.” It is nice to know that technology is making it much simpler to get a decent to good print straight from the camera, but some us photo geeks still like to get the best out of every shot. Not everything is made better by simplification, and sometimes quality and beauty lie in the subtleties. Plus, I like waiting for my pictures to print - it adds suspense!

I e-mail a lot..& also do on-line shopping since I don’t drive..My biggest gripe is every time I delete anything..this beast just makes more copies instead!It’s a CompaQ FS7600..about 3 yrs old.
