Picasa Web Albums from Google is a simple, but powerful photo sharing service. Like many of Google’s other Web applications, Picasa Web Albums does one thing, and does it well. But, that simplicity hides a lot of power and depth.  There are a number of things that you can do to take full advantage of Picasa Web Albums. This Tech Tip explains a few simple ways to do that.

  1. After reading your first tech tip about organizing pictures I downloaded and installed picasa web album and it would totally hang my computer.  I had to finally remove the program to get my computer to work like normal.  My Page Faults were huge.  I would love to know what I can do to get this program to work right.

  2. I have loaded it a couple of times and it worked just fine. But i don’t see what if any service it provides. I did notice that picasa has a very hard time with large numbers of photos. The way picasa indexes photos is unuseful at best. I still do not see any good reason to use it at all.

    Google should scrap the project and try again.

  13. Any suggestion how to either get rid of the grey border around the web album once it is embedded or change the color of it to black?  Thank you.
