Three Great Alternatives to the iTunes Music Store
For the music lover, a visit to Apple’s iTunes Music Store is an incredible experience. The amount of music available, and the range of styles and artists, is definitely something to behold. And the fact that you can download most of the tracks to your desktop computer or laptop computer (and transfer them to your MP3/MP4 player or iPod) for under a dollar is a bonus.

Is there another compatible media manager for IPod Nano other than ITunes?
You can get songs for 20 cents each at http://www.mp3fiesta.com. I have been using it for a couple of years now.
I like eMusic a lot. It won’t be popular with the younger crowd (not much “new” music) and you have to be careful when downloading (be sure to listen to the samples and read the customer reviews to make sure it’s an original version, NOT a re-recording). I’d suggest staying away from any “K-Tel” issues here. The K-Tel name was bought up by someone else when K-Tel ceased operations and they generally seem to have re-recordings. That said, I have an “eMusic Connoisseur” account which allows me to download a MINIMUM of 200 songs for $79.99 (40 cents apiece) BUT they have a special album pricing which applies to MANY albums which is “albums over 10 songs download for only 10 songs credit” (this does NOT apply to ALL 10+ song albums, but MANY). This is a GREAT site for picking up older (1950’s and 60’s music, harder-to-find genres like rockabilly, surf and exotica (I think they have over a dozen Arthur Lyman albums for d/l) and occasionally they will toss you a few (usually 5) free downloads (I recently got such for “liking” eMusic on Facebook and think they usually give you 5 on your birthday… but don’t quote me on that… and randomly throughout the year… Independence Day perhaps). I seem to recall downloading a MASSIVE album of traditional music for 5 cents a song. I think eMusic is a GREAT niche site.
We have found several people paying $8.00 per month to rent a wireless router from Time Warner. Help those people, please. Ex[lain to them that owning your router is a lot less expensive.
He is the tricky part… If the client has the VOIP modem you will have to reset the device before a different router can ve added to the mix. The modem can’t be just powered down, you must physically remove the backup battery or use the reset button, depending on the modem.
Good luck.
Don’t tell TW I just cut a hole in their poxket.I love the Amazon Mp3 store and use it almost daily, but it’s not strictly true that downloading without their software works the same - most of their sales (and they have fabulous ones - usually a different album for $3.99 every day and a multitude of $5 specials that change monthly) require that you use their download manager.
Personally, I don’t have a problem with their software, but some might
you forgot walmart.com they have a good selection also under 1.00 and i haven’t seen any thing under 1.00 on itunes lately.
I never have understood the hate that so many people have for the iTunes program. I find it perfectly usable for my needs. That being said, I often use Amazon to buy new music because many times it’s cheaper than iTunes.
There were a couple of incorrect pieces of information in your article. ITunes does except PayPal, I’ve had my iTunes purchases deducted from my PayPal account for some time.
Also, the iTunes music store hasn’t used DRM on any of its music tracks for over three years. While movies TV shows and music videos may still have DRM, I doubt you will find those items without DRM on Amazon or other vendors.
Thanks. Always enjoy your tech tips.

Well iTunes can be easily download and you can easily get the songs even but what I found strange is that this is a bit expensive in getting the songs in compare to other companies such as mentioned above that’s why I feel that they are expensive and now we should switch
Well. I preffer spotify instead of buying music.
Even though I use iTunes it is cumbersome and I am tired of fixing all the issues it carries within a PC environment. I am glad to see that there are other options that work so well. Also, if you are looking for a fix to the most recent issue on PC’s, error every time you run ver. 10.0 you can find it on my website.
