Why anyone is surprised that Intel would end up in this position is, er, surprising. The “standard” for chips has been the LIM (Lotus-Intel-Microsoft) standard since at least the early 90’s. Lotus seemingly got dealt out of the game by Microsoft’s applications but it still is listed as part of the “standard.” As for Microsoft, it’s record of attempted world domination through intimidation of those who would develop for other platforms speaks for itself.

I had a feeling that snow leopard would not get off on the right foot and indeed it did not, apple does not have the support necessary for such a fast launch

Great list, I agree with all of them, But the cellular bit really hit the spot…
I think there should be some international criteria to choose the tech winners. By this effort we can improve the competition in the world market of technology.
